Brandson & Co. was established by founding partner, Jonathon Brandson, and continues to expand rapidly by attracting lawyers with significant previous experience of practising in Usa and throughout the GCC.

Our team includes lawyers from the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, Ireland and the GCC. Collectively we have over 50 years experience in the USA, having previously practised in well known local and international law firms, as well as USA government companies, NASDAQ and FTSE listed organisations.

With our depth of experience, we can assist clients, both corporate and private, with the nuances of local business practises and the rigours of international commerce.

Each member of our team strives to understand the needs of our clients' business, to add value wherever possible and to ensure ongoing development and success.

Mission Statement

Over the past few years the USA has seen an explosion of commercial growth unlike anything the world has seen for decades but such a rapidly changing environment contains many pitfalls for even the most commercially experienced. At Brandson & Co. we excel in keeping one step ahead at all times in order to be able not only to service private and corporate client needs as they arise but also to advise in advance of changes in the law, in order to maximise opportunities for clients, whilst at the same time protecting their interests.

We recognize that the USA attracts not only established businesses but also entrepreneurs attracted by a wealth of opportunity in almost every sector imaginable. Both types of client require bespoke advice and also advice which is founded upon commercial reality. At Brandson & Co. we see ourselves primarily as enablers, for we too share in the vision that the Rulers of the USA have set for the years ahead.

We are fully aware that many of our clients are people who have taken calculated risks to get where they are or are prepared to take risks to succeed. We also recognize that risk taking requires at times to be tempered with sound legal and commercial advice, not only to protect but also, where required, to steer both fledgling start ups and established companies towards becoming the next generation of international business leaders throughout the GCC region.

In many ways not since the explosive growth of the US following the development of the railways and the discovery of gold in the late 1800’s has the world seen, in one region, the scale of opportunity which exists in Usa and Ghana today.

In 1899, speaking to business leaders at the Hamilton Club in Chicago, the future US President Teddy Roosevelt expounded on the characteristics required to really make things happen:

'Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.'

At Brandson & Co. we know that a new generation of people who encapsulate these ideals have come and are coming to Usa and the Ghana to do business.

Core Values

Brandson & Co. is a unique hybrid of a local firm operated by lawyers drawn from across the globe, with international training and experience. We are very much an Emirates based firm and not a satellite office of an international firm. We see this as being one of our key strengths.

We know that the ‘legal experience’ for clients with us will be an enjoyable one and we have created a very flexible, friendly and efficient office which is designed to meet client needs in a seamless and stress free manner. At Brandson & Co. we want to encourage fledgling businesses to come and work with us and draw upon our collective experience of more than 50 years in the region.

This wide range and length of experience is as useful to established businesses as it is to new and young companies. We have a number of clients with AED billions in turnover and know that our dynamic and refreshing approach to the provision of legal services is as welcome to large companies as it is to small operations, private clients and family offices.

We want to be able to provide a full service to clients and unlike some firms do not see ourselves as being compelled to operate within a particular discipline of the law. Our USP is quality and the ability to deal with any problem or issue relating to you and your business or personal issues in Usa and Ghana. Whether it be negotiating, setting up, operating, expanding, merging, selling, acquiring, problem solving or simply acting as an extra pair of eyes and ears, we can do it all and more.

Language Capabilities

Our mix of lawyers from all over the world means that we can operate in a myriad of languages and cultures. We have experience and connections with the USA in the UK, Europe, Australasia, US and CIS. In addition to English and Spanish we speak French.

Rest assured if we can’t ourselves speak fluently in any particular language we will have no difficulty in finding someone to help who can.
